The Jazz is Dead series reaches no 10 with a remix album featuring mixes of one track from each of the featured artists remixed by Kaidi Tatham, DJ Spinna and Georgia Anne Muldrow amongst others. Kahil El Zabar has another good new Spiritual Jazz album and there are also new Jazz albums from Theon Cross, The Cookers, Nicolas Payton, Kenny G and Jonathan Blake, most only on CD at the moment with vinyl to come later once pressed. Floating Points album gets a limited coloured vinyl pressing, Matata ‘Independence’ classic afro -funk album gets a welcome vinyl reissue and there are two new compilations on Soul Jazz, a few titles back in stock plus two Freeez reissue 12″ singles.
