It’s another good week for new releases, reissues and restocks. Ledisi’s ‘Good Life’ is finally in stock as an import, and its worth the wait as it is her best album in some time. Liz Wright also has a new album this week. Shabaka changes instrument to flute and his style to a more subtle and spiritual Jazz format ‘Perceive Its Beauty Acknowledge Its Grace’ available on CD Black or Coloured vinyl, and hiphop legend Andre 3000 also changes style to instrumental for ‘New Blue Sun’.
There is a previously unreleased Doris Troy album ‘Another Look’ recorded for Midland International in the late 70s and a long out of print John Coltrane on Pablo and Willie Colon on Fania.
We are back in stock of recent classic albums from Jalen Ngonda and Thee Sacred Souls on both formats, the great Menagerie album from earlier in the year on LP and some classics from Alice Clark, Donald Byrd, Miles Davis and Hank Mobley. There is also a great reissue 45 from the Invitations on Expansion available as a regular dinked or limited edition DJ copy full centre issue.
Pre-order for next week for a new Soul album from Alex Harris, the first Luther album on CD for the first time, and some great Blue Note albums from Herbie Hancock and Bobby Hutcherson. Also pre-order for early May for the new Kamasi Washington album. see all pre-orders here.

This year’s event will be the 17th consecutive year we have held RSD at Soul Brother and we will be celebrating the 30 years since opening the shop. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the day, which coincides with Laurence’s 69th birthday.
