New Releases, Reissues and Restocks | Friday 28th March

There are some great new releases, reissues and restocks this week. Windy Karigianes has made one of the best retro early 80’s grooves that we have heard in a while sound like something Teena Marie may have recorded and the Georgie B remix has it to a tee, available as a regular dinked or limited edition full centre DJ Copy 45. There are new albums on vinyl and CD from Butcher Brown, Joe Armon Jones,The Sure Fire Soul Ensemble and Kaidi Tatham. There are high quality analogue remasters of some classic albums from Donny Hathaway on Speakers Corner and Lonnie Liston Smith on BGP AAA master and restocks of other great titles in the same format from Donny Hathaway , Herbie Hancock , Nate Morgan and Kenny Dorham that we haven’t seen in a long time, all in limited supply.

There are reissues of  a rare boogie album from Sho-Nuff and nice Jazz fusion/dance album from John Lampkin plus two good soul compilations on Kent ‘Hit And Run – More Motown Guys’ ft many tracks on CD for the first time and ‘Paul Weller presents That Sweet Sweet music’.
There are many great 45s on Kent/BGP and Lost Generation superb and very rare ‘This Is The Lost Generation’ is reissued at last.
We have now placed all our orders for RSD tiles and will start the loading the expected titles from today, everything will be uploaded by next week.

We recently published a good batch of pre owned CDs as well as a nice selection of soul funk and jazz 45s. We have a comprehensive list of all original vinyl that we’ve upload over the last few months in our Original Vinyl section. This includes the recent South West Connection and Soul Brother Vaults series’.

We still have many of the Black Friday limited edition vinyl available here including a few that were previously sold out now back in limited qty.
We are continuing to list many discoveries from the Soul Brother vaults, see the new addition – Part 12 – 35 Original Vinyl Reggae LPs and 12″ Singles.
We have had some brilliant albums in recently that have all been featured in our Album Of The Day. This includes the recent Will Downing, Gina Sedman, Roy Ayers, Benny Golson, James Brown, Don Blackman, Ashley Henry, Kelly Finnigan and the new Ezra Collective and many more. We published a fantastic selection of Jazz-Funk and Soul LPs a few months ago, which is part of a larger collection from earlier in the year titled Collection Of The North so make sure you check that out if you missed it!
Elsewhere, we have fantastic selection of original vinyl across the site. Click HERE to see a recent collection of jazz and jazz-funk LPs. A couple of weeks ago we put up a good batch 70s and 80s soul 45s which you can view here. This adds to the list of 60s soul 45s which you can see here if you missed, and we also added to our series of 12″ singles with part 15. We featured the first batch of 25 Original Vinyl Soul LPs from a large new collection that we will be purchasing over the next year, there are some great hard to find albums;  quite a few sold out immediately and we have added a few where there were second copies to the list.
As always we have a brilliant selection of original LPs and 12s that have been added to the site in recent weeks. This week we added some brilliant original soul LPs in addition to the batches of Philly Soul and Classic Soul we put up recently, plus two new batches of 12″ singles for funk, disco and house fans check them out here and here. This is part of a larger group of 12″ singles from a recent collection into one group which you can view here. There’s also two great selections of jazz-fusion albums all at £10 each, see them here and here.
