New Titles and Pre-Orders, Friday 19th November 2021

Makaya McCraven has recorded an album covering classic Blue Note tracks ‘Deciphering The Message’ making them more accessible to a new audience. Ill Considered are a long standing London new jazz band who make their first distributed album ‘Liminal space’  Cd out now Lp to follow in 2022. Kaidi Tatham ‘Kaidi’s 5ive get a limited Lp run, and Incognito have a great 106 track, 8cd retroprospective ‘Always There 1981-202’ including unreleased tracks and remixes.

‘Satisfaction Guaranteed’ is the second volume of the Philadelphia international 50th anniversary CD box sets. West Coast Revival, an almost impossible to find rare groove album, gets a welcome vinyl reissue. There are 4 titles in the Blue Note classic album series with analogue mastering by Kevin Gray,  two jazz-funk classics from Donald Byrd and Bobbi Humphrey plus two hard bop classics from Horace Silver and Art Blakey.
There are other great Jazz vinyl reissues from Graham Collier (previously unreleased), Thelonious Monk, Yusef Lateef, Bill Evans and Gary Bartz.
There are also some good Soul reissues including previous unreleased albums from Seaquence, Ruby & The Mudflaps, Jill Scott first album on limited Blue vinyl, Omar Anthology, and Meter’s guitarist Leo Nocentelli, plus christmas albums from James Brown and Jamie Cullum. The Motown catalogue is covered by the Royal Philharmonic orchestra adding a background to classic tracks.
There are also good Latin Jazz from Tata Vasquez and Viejas Raaces and some good reggae reissues including for The Love of you vo l2 compilation on Athens of the north.
