There are some great new jazz albums this week. The Seed Ensemble are the latest London band to record on Jazz Refreshed and their double album 'Driftglass' will be another future in demand record. Rymden features Bugge Wesseltoft and have an interesting Scandinavian album 'Reflections and Odysseys' and Azymuth drummer Ivan Conti treats us to some 'Poison Fruit' on Far out. Ruby Rushton's in demand Trudi's Songbook Vol 1 & 2 are coupled for a nice double album. Collector’s Motown group albums
Here is the first of the latest batch of Original Soul albums from the great collection that we starting receiving late last year. This selection is of Motown Group albums from mid 60's to mid 70's and includes some truly great albums. Almost all of the records are in Near Mint or Excellent condition with nice covers as graded. We are delighted to introduce many of you to the music of Brandee Younger. Brandee is a very talented Jazz Harpist who has made two excellent albums and an EP, the latest 'Wax & Wane' produced by Casey Benjamin. Her music draws inspiration from Dorothy Ashby and Alice Coltrane, is amazingly relaxing but also very contemporary. We are enchanted by and love her at Soul Brother and thoroughly recommend you check her music out. There are a lot of great 45's just arriving at Soul Brother this week, plus a couple for pre-order. The Sisters Love 'Give Me Your Love' has been one of the most in demand rare groove tracks for many years and is finally issued on a licensed 45 on Soul Brother label, and we also have a limited number of un-dinked 'Promo' copies available whilst stocks last. It is a bumper week for great releases this week ! Pride of place goes to another great album coming from the London Jazz scene from Ruby Rushton keyboardist Nick Walters and the Paradox Ensemble 'Awakening' ft Tenderlonious and many other great musicians. These guys are on fire at the moment making music to a higher level than ever ! This is essential Spiritual Jazz. Lance Ferguson 'Rare Groove Spectrum' is another great album from the Australian featuring really good cover dance floor friendly versions of classic underground tracks.
