NEW RELEASES Ty Causey is the Mr Reliable of contemporary Soul, a little like a modern day Tyrone Davis having released a string of no frills good quality Soul albums most years in the last decade and a half. He returns with his second album of this year, a gospel influenced Soul album 'God is love' which is well worth checking out. Check out this great list of 40 mainly Hard Bop Jazz LP's that have just arrived. There a few rare originals but these are mainly hard to find high quality reissues from the 70's and 80's including many Japanese issues. Most of these records are hardly played in mint or near mint condition, and many are still in the original shrink wrap, see notes on each titles. Watch out for a second list later in the week. Musiq soulchild has a double Cd that will please his fans. i2 Love music is a good contemporary soul comp incl a new Carmichael Musiclover track and there is a best of Cool million cd. New releases Crack of Dawn from Canada released two Soul albums in the late 70's and early 80's. They return after 36 years with a new strong contemporary Soul album with an old school feel, check their more up tempo version of Mel & Tim's 'Keep the Faith', but this is no one tracker. There are some strong reissues this week. The brilliant O.T. Sykes album and the Van Jones are now available on CD.
