New Releases There are some really good new releases and reissues this week. At long last Dawn Pemberton 's Say something album has arrived on vinyl, its a great album so grab a copy while you can. Record Store Day 2015 lookback
A big thanks to everybody who came to Soul Brother Records on record store day on Saturday, what an amazing day it was, certainly a birthday I will never forget. There are some good new releases and reissues this week. Farnell Newton teams up with Jarrod Lawson to produce a really strong album. Bluey steps up with his second solo set. The reissues are amazing with Sandra Wright classic 70's soul set remastered CD, Leon Ware's two Elektra albums on one CD, Tyrone Davis, and extended Manhattans, Phyllis Hyman and james brown cds' . New releases Will Downing has produced another strong album of mid tempo tracks, Kenny Lattimore makes a welcome return. Jeff Bradshaw has made amazing album recorded live with numerous vocalists in the style of the Snarky Puppy Family Dinner album. Check out Kim Burrell who is incredible on 'Love'. New releases There are some good new releases for the bank holiday weekend. Ropeadope have three very interesting albums. Snarky Puppy vocalist Shayna Steel has a very nice folky jazzy soul album, Lars Bartkuhn has an esoteric jazz album in the style of Pat Metheny and Ajoyo have a really good jazzy afro funk record.
