Recommended new releases – 6th November 2015

Angie Stone returns with a strong album ‘Dream’ , the reliable Pieces of a dream celebrate 29 years together with  ‘All in’, Floating Points have made a very interesting Ambient Jazz record ‘Eleana’ and rising star Leron Thomas has his debut album.

There are some good reissues from Salsoul Orchestra (40th anniversary) , Cheryl Lynn, a great 2CD compilation of Sun Ra by Gilles Peterson, and a very interesting Anthology of Australian vibraphonist Alan Lee. Rim and Kasa African disco/funk coupling is well worth checking out.

It’s a big week for Vinyl, with the Soulutions 45,and two box sets containing 7 x 7″. Parliament’s classic P-Funk anthem ‘Mothership Connection’ is reissued with an amazing 3D cover which makes the ‘landing’ very believable !, set to be a future collectable album. There are a lot of classic vinyl album reissues this week.

The popular Soul Brother/Expansion Cd sale is extended until the end of November to give you more opportunity to grab these soon to be out of print classic albums and comps at the bargain price of £9.99 each or 5 for £40.

Check out the latest 45’s and 12″ new releases and re-issues in this special singles feature here. As you know most of these are limited editions which will be unavailable sometimes within a couple of weeks of release, so please order the titles you want whilst we still have them.
