There are some good new releases, reissues, restocks and this week. Nubya Garcia finally follows up her epic album ‘The Source’ with a new album ‘Odyssey’; sophisticated new London Jazz featuring some great musicianship. Chris Bangs covers many great songs in his Jazz-house style with ‘Dream World’ on Acid Jazz including George Duke’s classic ‘My Soul’, and Galliano returns after a long break with ‘Half Somewhere’. Jaz Karis makes a contemporary Soul/R&B debut album ‘Safe Flight’.
There are some great reissues including The JB’s classic ‘Damn Right I’m Somebody’, Wynd Chymes’ ‘Arrival’, Ronnie McNeir’s first album, Oneness of Juju’s brilliant ‘Space Jungle Luv’, Experience Unlimited’s debut, a couple more titles in the Blue Note classic series plus a nice compilation of Latin Soul from Bobby Marin. Double Exposure have a 4CD box set featuring all their Salsoul recordings including singles and remixes.

We are sad to learn of the passing of Frankie Beverley of Maze, I like many of you will remember many great nights at the Hammersmith Odeon, and so much great music -Joy and Pain!

Elsewhere, we have fantastic selection of original vinyl across the site. Click HERE to see a recent collection of jazz and jazz-funk LPs. A couple of weeks ago we put up a good batch 70s and 80s soul 45s which you can view here. This adds to the list of 60s soul 45s which you can see here if you missed, and we also added to our series of 12″ singles with part 15. We featured the first batch of 25 Original Vinyl Soul LPs from a large new collection that we will be purchasing over the next year, there are some great hard to find albums; quite a few sold out immediately and we have added a few where there were second copies to the list.
As always we have a brilliant selection of original LPs and 12s that have been added to the site in recent weeks. This week we added some brilliant original soul LPs in addition to the batches of Philly Soul and Classic Soul we put up recently, plus two new batches of 12″ singles for funk, disco and house fans check them out here and here.
