New Releases

Jeb Loy Nichols may be a new name to many of you, but he has been around a little while , his debut album ‘Country Hustle’ is an intriquing mixture of soul and country/bluegrass. it is a lovely album, also check his limited edition 10″ mini album ‘Ya Smell Me’ which we still have a few copies of. The Jazzman series ‘Spiritual Jazz’ reaches its seventh volume with ‘Islam’ a collection of great tracks that take you to a higher level inspired by their religion. Kaidi Tatham has a strong Ep ‘Changing Times’.

Pre-orders

Pre-order for next week for some great albums including Jeff Lorber Fusion, Rasheed Ali, Raul Midon , Mark Murphy and more, with Somi and a nice album from Rohey the following week. There are also a nice batch of 45’s next week with 2 from Athens of the North including the unreleased full version of Earth Wind and Fire’s ‘Brazilian Rhyme’ and the first 4 releases on the Charly Signature Sevens label.

Check out this list of 30 Original Vinyl Soul, Funk and Jazz-Funk LP’s which have just arrived. There are some really good albums included here, many that we haven’t seen for a while and most are in great condition as individually graded. All titles are one off’s so please order early to avoid disappointment. See the list here

Collector’s Jazz vinyl

Here are another 50 Original (and earlier reissue) Vinyl Jazz LP’s from the collection that recently arrived. There are many Ornette Coleman, Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins and lee Konitz titles included. Most of these records are in hardly played condition as individually graded.

R.I.P Dave Valentin

Sadly we have to bid farewell to another artist, Flautist Dave Valentine passed last week and Malcolm has written a fitting tribute which you can read here.

Record Store Day 2017

We are now only five weeks away from the biggest Vinyl event of the year, Record Store Day is Saturday April 22nd. The list of titles will be announced on Tuesday evening and we will publish it on the site on Wednesday. We look forward to welcoming you to the store on the day.
