Colin Curtis has championed many great contemporary Jazz-Dance artists , so it is only natural that he should compile a superb LP featuring the best dance floor tracks from Japanese Band Indigo Jam Unit for Paul Murphy’s Jazz Room label, excellent stuff. There are some nice reissue Lps this week from BGP/ACE with two funky Jazz from Guitarist Melvin Sparks and vibes player Johnny Lytle. There is a classic Bill Evans and Prince’s first album ‘For You’
We are back in stock of rare Soul Lps from The Lovelites and Free Love, and jazz albums from Quincy Jones, Yusef Lateef and Takuya Kuroda.
Dayton classics ‘Promise me’ and ‘Eyes on You’ are back to back on a new Expansion 45 and Outta sight have Barbara McNair ‘It Happens Every Time’ and ‘You’re Gonna Love me Baby’ , both on regular and Limited edition full centre DJ Copies. Chris Bangs produced the Brazilian dancer ‘My Only’ by NovaVida which is sure to set Jazz dance floors in motion.
The five new 45s on the Soul Brother label have been well received and sound great. The Crystal Clear has been delayed due to a manufacturing issue and is expected 2nd week of August.
