New releases 26th January 2018 | Wants List 4 CD now in stock

The 10 year wait is over, our Rare groove and modern soul compilation Wants List 4 is finally here and in stock on CD. The Double Vinyl will be arriving next Friday 2nd Feb.

 

It contains 21 fantastic 70’s Soul tracks, many on CD for the first time, that highlight the brilliant quality of the music made in that decade.You can watch the video here, showcasing the tracks, enjoy. All pre-orders will be shipped today. if you are new to the series we still have copies of Wants list 2 and 3 on CD in stock.
Isaiah Sharkey appeared on the last D’Angelo album and he makes his CD debut with the superb ‘Love Life Live’ which is likely to be one of the New Soul albums of 2018.
The Two beats one Soul CD is also finally released and in stock , it includes tracks from Louie Vega and Josh Milan , soulful house meets Cuba. Jamison Ross second album is here, another mellow Jazzy Soul album.

Reissues and Comps

There are loads of great reissues and compilations on CD this week, many highlights including Ingram, Ohio Players,  Wes Montgomery, Ramsey Lewis, an unreleased album from Melvin Sparks and more unreleased George Jackson tracks from the vaults, plus a lovely comp from Chicago Soul/boogie from Mark Grusane on BBE.
Lots of good reissues on Vinyl this week including gems from Idris Muhammad, Weather Report, Spencer Wiggins, The Meters, EWF, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells and Me’Shell Ndegecello. Watch our for a vinyl reissue mailer early next week.

Northern Soul reissue 45s

We also have the series of five, Detroit -a-go-go 45’s which includes the superb Buddy Smith Modern Soul gem and some great in demand Northern tracks.

Anthony Joseph in store

You never know who you are going to bump into at Soul Brother’s expanded store in Putney, yesterday singer/poet Anthony Joseph was in buying some Jazz albums and posed for a picture showing the superb Ashley Henry EP which he appears on.
The Sony Music Vinyl LP sale and Classic Jazz LP sale  are extended to Mon 4th February, so you have a few more days to take advantage of these great 180gm LP’s at cheap prices.
