Jarrod Lawson returns with the follow up to his amazing debut album with another really good album ‘Be the Change’ set to be the album of the year. John Legend and Tom Misch have new albums on vinyl as do the Sun Ra Arkestra which is also on CD. .
Loleatta Holloway’s first two great albums on Aware are now available on CD for the first time with bonus tracks. Roland Haynes funky jazz ‘2nd Wave’ is the latest Black jazz album to be reissued on Real Gone Music, who also have released a coloured vinyl version of Merry Clayton ‘Gimme Shelter’. The latest two Blue Note Tone Poet albums are Duke Pearson brilliant ‘The Phantom’ and Herbie Hancock ‘My point of view’. Vince Guaraldi classic Charlie Brown christmas album has a very limited edition ‘Lenticular sleeve’ edition, and there some classic Sam Cooke albums.
Lofts & Garages is a nice compilation of the Spring group of labels disco and boogie tracks.
Light of the World released a picture cover 45 from their recent album and there is a host of new Reggae reissues from Studio 16.
