The Scone Cash Players return with a retro soul album on Daptone, there is a good compilation on Ace of the songs from Isaac Hayes and David Porter and Beyonce has a limited edition 2lp deluxe box set . Instant Funk’s first Salsoul album is issued on coloured vinyl. On the Jazz side the latest Blue Note Tone poet albums from Grant Green and Kenny Burrell are now in and a rare Joe Harriott Quintet album is reissued. We are back in stock of the excellent UK late 70’s Fusion album ‘Magician ‘, plus classics from Funkadelic, Bill Evans and more.
The next two 45’s on our label from Betty Everett and China Burton have been delayed in manufacturing they will be here soon. We are also reissuing the classic FBI album and Johnny Hammond ‘Gamblers Life’ due late Oct/Early November. see all pre-order titles here.
Unfortunately the planned in store tomorrow with Paul Murphy has had to be postponed again. due to the National Rail and TFL strikes this weekend, we will advise a new date soon.
We do however have two in-stores in the next week. On Wednesday 12th October Jas Kayser will be here around 1pm signing copies of her excellent album ‘Jas 5ive’ and next Saturday 15th October Camilla George will be here from 1pm to 3pm signing copies of her brilliant album ‘Ibio Ibio’ as part of our national album day celebrations.
