New Releases, Reissues and Restocks | Friday 31st May

There are some great new 45s this week. Kelly Finnigan has a superb new single ‘Leave You Alone’ on Colemine available in either black or pink marbled vinyl. D.C Lee’s version of ‘Be There in The Morning’ is really good and there are two full length classic jazz dance tracks  7″ singles from BGP from Patrice Rushen and Charles Earland which play at 33 1/3 with a new printed sleeve, they look and sound great. Kent has produced a very limited edition 7 x 7″ box set featuring singles from the rarest soul label Shrine.

Mo Kolours has a very nice Soul/Jazz album and veteran southern soul man Swamp Dogg a new album. Kent also have a very good Thom Bell Philadelphia Soul compilation ‘Didn’t I Blow Your Mind’. There are some good vinyl reissues this week including a 2LP set from Bettye Swann featuring her Capitol recordings. Tower Of Power, Maceo and the Kingsmen and The Sugarhill Gang plus many classic albums are back in stock.
We featured the first batch of 25 Original Vinyl Soul LPs from a large new collection that we will be purchasing over the next year, there are some great hard to find albums;  quite a few sold out immediately and we have added a few where there were second copies to the list. Watch out for a batch of rare and classic Jazz and Jazz Funk albums next week.

We are extending the draw for the Kamasi Washington signed print until Monday 4th June to give anyone who hasn’t already ordered the album a chance after payday. Check the album here.

As always we have a brilliant selection of original LPs and 12s that have been added to the site in recent weeks. This week we added some brilliant original soul LPs in addition to the batches of Philly Soul and Classic Soul we put up recently, plus two new batches of 12″ singles for funk, disco and house fans check them out here and here. This is part of a larger group of 12″ singles from a recent collection into one group which you can view here.
