The Brit Funk Association are one of the UK's top Jazz Funk bands featuring former members of Light of the World and Beggar & Co. There are some good new releases, reissues and restocks this week. Shaila Prospere returns with a good new album 'Share Your Love' as does Ty Causey with 'Faithful & True' both in limited quantities. Dave Lee has recorded the AC Soul Symphony available as two double lps, cd to follow. There is also a retakes Ep from Moonchild 'Reflection's and a Southern Soul/Blues album from Emma Wilson. Album Of The Day | Shaila Prospere – Share Your Love

Shaila Prospere follows up her excellent Under My Skin' 'with another strong Soul/R&B album. 'Share Your Love' , 'Dance All Night' are uptempo dancers. 'See What You Feel' has a shuffling groove that is similar to 'Ladies Night'. Shaila's voice really suits the mid tempo ballads 'What You Need' and 'Do It Again' and rare groove-ish stepper 'Love Like That' which is a highlight. Following a challenging recovery period after chemotherapy in late 2021, Saxophonist Joshua Moshe embarked on a transformative musical journey, shedding his band persona and embracing a solo identity. The culmination of this artistic exploration is his debut album ‘Inner Search’, recorded six months after completing treatment. For this project, Moshe assembled a rejuvenated lineup of incredible collaborators including co-producer and keyboardist Lewis Moody and Baritone Sax player Phil Noy from fellow Australian band Menagerie.
