The quantity of releases may be lower this week but there are some quality releases. Kentyah and Brian Jackson’s tribute to Gil Scott Heron album will hopefully expose his genius to a younger audience but there is still plenty in it for long term fans , check Gregory Porter’s version of ‘Song of the Wind’.
Pieces of a dream release their 20th album, their best in a long time and Kenny Garrett and Webster Wraight are good Jazz albums. On the reissue side the reliable Eccentric Soul series scores again.
