New Releases
The Dawn Pemberton Saying Something CD due a couple of weeks ago has now arrived , the LP is delayed until Jan/Feb 2015, it is a very good new Soul album. Vladamir Cetkar has produced a superb new album in a 70’s George Benson style with a touch of Chic, great Remix of the title track from Dimitri of Paris. Mary J Blige goes to London for her latest album now also on Vinyl. DJ Spen gives us some house magic. Teri Tobin replacement CDs are on there way to us and should land early next week, all outstanding orders will be shipped the day they arrive.
Comps and reissues
There are a couple of good comps , the Streetsounds label re-emerges with a classic Jazz Funk 3cd set and 80’s label Sheridan records is the subject of a CD and 6 x 12″ box set, and there a couple of good mid 70’s Gabor Szabo albums issued on CD for the first time.
Vinyl
The 3rd Motown 7’S Box set focusses on the Uk Stateside label with 14 classics Showing us the Magic and Excitement of Early Motown so with high quality 180gm Vinyl reissues from Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Tower of Power, Funkadelic and Yusef Lateef and a couple of soulful house 12″ and reissue 45’s its a good week for vinyl lovers.
