Its a bumper week for new releases, reissues and Vinyl reissues this week.
Japanese CDs
There is a batch of great Warner jazz 24 Bit mastering albums at a great price, plus another installment of Miles Davis bootleg live concert. Super high quality 180gm Analogue master Vinyl issues for Carmen Lundy’s fantastic Changes album plus an unissued Tubby Hayes set and welcome reissue of Steve’s classic Songs in the key of life are amongst the vinyl highlights.
Singles
Pharrell Williams Happy is finally available on a vinyl 12″ and Paul Johnson and Guida De Palma have good singles. Also we have managed to get a few more copies of the Motown 7s box set, so if you missed out last time now is your chance to grab one of these.
Record Store Day
Record store day is Saturday 19th Easter Saturday and this year looks like its going to be the best one yet with more Soul , Jazz and Reggae releases (including two releases from ourselves…more detail later!). Details are still coming in but i hope to have a provisional list on the site by tonight.
Instore events
Randy Muller is in store on Saturday 29th March at lunchtime signing copies of Brooklyn Soul Biscuits CD, i hope that you can join us to meet the legend. Bluey and Jim Mullen will be in store on Sat 12th April at 12.30 signing copies of the wonderful Citrus Sun album.
