New releases

There are two long awaited albums released this week.  Disco Soul Gold contains 16 Nigel Lowis remixes of Contemporary Modern Soul dancers, many on CD for the first time.Gregory Porter returns with a tribute to his main influences Nat king Cole, available on CD, Deluxe Cd with 3 extra tracks and Deluxe Double LP.
Kamasi Washington ‘Harmony of Difference’ EP is back in stock on Vinyl and now also available on CD. Trombone Shorty ‘Parking Lot Symphony’ is now also available on Vinyl.
Leroy Hutson is one of our music’s most heralded artists. His classic tracks from the 70’s and early 80’s are augmented by two recently discovered tracks in ‘Anthology 1972-84’, now in on CD. Also check the great double A side 45 on Soul Junction featuring The Coooperetes and unreleased Toppiks versions of ‘Win your love’.
Michael Jackson’s scream is available in Glow in the dark vinyl ready for halloween, and their are good vinyl comps of First Choice and Loleatta Holloway ‘Stars of Salsoul’ including classic remixes. Motown Chartbusters is back out on Vinyl and their is a great value ‘Christmas Motown’ 2Cd set.

20 years of the Soul Brother Records label

It is 20 years this month that we released the first record on our Soul Brother Records label. Over that time we have released some great Soul, Funk and Jazz music in over 120 albums.  You can see the titles currently available on Cd and Vinyl here.

Watch out for more titles next week  and there will be more on display in our shop over the weekend. There are some great albums here which are getting harder to find. All titles are one off’s so please order early to avoid disappointment.
