New release and pre-orders 31st January 2020

Nick Walters is the trumpeter from the London band Ruby Rushton and he has made a brilliant five track mini album available today on CD and LP, these guys are on fire at the moment !
Rita Ray is a new name a blue eyed Soul singer from Estonia and her debut album is a strong retro soul LP. There are two great 45 reissues this week ; Sweet mixture ‘House of fun and love’ a very in demand and hard to find uptempo Rare groove underground classic reissued for the first time and Darrow Fletcher modern soul delight ‘My secret weapon’ back out again. Joey Negro contunues his Remixed with love series with his take on a couple of Phreek tracks.

Omar has been the stalwart of Uk soul for 30 years and his 2CD Anthology is welcome and overdue. Roy Ayers brilliant Virgin Ubiquity previously unreleased recordings are now back available on CD, Lps to come. Clark Sisters gospel soul recordings are now available on a CD.
There are two strong CD compilations ‘Spring NYC Soul’ which includes some unreleased cuts and Disco Giants Vol 15. Larome (Baker) has a nice album From Philly of unreleased 80’s Soul out on LP this week with the CD due next week. JBs early recordings ‘More mess on my thing’ is now back in stock on both CD and LP. There are also some nice Southern Soul and Blue Note reissues on Lp this week.

Check out the first two 12″ in our new series of Early underground disco classics here. The Patti Jo and South Shore Commision/Ultra High frequency are great Tom Moulton mixes and sound fantastic – they were superbly mixed by Tom Moulton for, but not released on 12″ at the time.
