There are a lot of new releases and reissues this week. Funkadelic classic Westbound tracks reworked by current Detroit artists and mixers. Musiq soulchild has a double Cd that will please his fans. i2 Love music is a good contemporary soul comp incl a new Carmichael Musiclover track and there is a best of Cool million cd.
The are three really good compilations, Soul Junction have ‘We got a sweet thing going on vol 3’ , Kent ‘Northern Soul’s Classiest rarities vol 6’and Vinyl Masterpeice ‘Nighttime Lovers vol 27’. Also check reissue comps from James Carr, Chuck Jackson, Bobby Byrd plus reissues from Clarence Carter and Jimmy Conwell.
Bob & Gene’s rare album gets a welcome vinyl reissue on Daptone plus Bettye Swann’s Money recordings are put together on an LP.
