Drummer Tony Allen makes his Blue Note debut with a fantastic Jazz album in the tradition of the labels glorious past. He is accompanied by a 10 piece band making a really full rich sound, a very welcome surprise.

We have a very limited quantity of copies of the in demand Jack Moves blue eyed soul album on CD, more coming in 2-3 weeks.
Undisputed Truth have 3 of their classic Motown albums out on a 2CD set , first time on CD for all of these albums.
Richard Searling has compiled a Stax Northern Soul 7″ box set including many in demand tracks.Expansion release the lovely rare dancer Crystal Motion ‘You’re my main squeeze’. Stevie Wonder’s classic ‘Songs in the key of life’  and ‘Original Musicquarium’ are issued on 180gm Vinyl sets. South African band The Movers rare disco/boogie album ‘Kansas City’ has a welcome reissue as does Stone Alliance Latin Jazz Funk rarity.  There are some interesting Reggae reissues on CD and LP.


Back in stock this week we have some more copies of Cornell CC Carter Vindicated Love , Mainstream Modern soul vol 2 and Ain’t nothing but a Houseparty CDs plus what could be the last couple of copies of the Motown’s Mowest Story LP’s.

We are sad to learn that Muse label founder and jazz industry veteran Joe Fields recently passed. I have written a tribute to this unsung hero of Jazz music which you can read here.
Jazz Guitarist Chuck Loeb also recently passed away and Malcolm has written a tribute to him here.
Also sad to hear that British singer Melissa Bell has also passed. She was a one time member of Soul 11 Soul , made many Soulful house records and appeared on the Moonbase and Thomas Motter CDs. R.I.P Melissa.
