May is shaping up to be a good month for releases with albums from Nicola Conte, Avery Sunshine and the Soul Love 2014 all due in the next couple of weeks and the magnificent Holland Dozier Holland Complete 45’s Box Set at the end of the month. We are taking pre-orders on all of these now. You can see these at the bottom of the list.
New Releases
It’s an incredible week for New releases and reissues this week, something for everybody.
New albums from the Uk’s premier Jazz Funk band Incognito, cult band Snarky Puppy, and US band Samuel Prather Groove orchestra will keep you uplifted through the bank holiday weekend.
There is an amazing 20 Original Album Box set from the Philadelphia International label containing many classic albums along with some gems that I’ve never seen on CD before, all individually card sleeved with original artwork, an essential purchased for any Philly Soul fan.
There is also a series of seven excellent budget price best of compilations from the label.
There are several reissues of Swamp Dogg’s produced Southern Soul albums including a couple under his own name, a couple of Hubert Laws Jazz funk albums and a long awaited CD’s from Lowrell (Simon) and Gene Chandler. For Vinyl collectors the second batch of five 180gm reissues marking the 75th Anniversary of the Blue Note label have arrived.
Great Pre-owned CD arrivals
A great well loved Collection of CD’s has arrived recently and there are many hard to find titles in this list. As all these are one -offs please order early to avoid disappointment.
Record Store Day 2014
A big thank you to everybody who ordered the record store day titles last weekend , we have been working through the orders all week, most have been despatched now the last few will go out today.
We have managed to obtain last copies of some of the titles that we ran out of, including a small number of Donny Hathaway LP’s which have come from a different source but most of these titles are now in very limited supply.

Tristan in store
