Recommended releases of the week – 1st November 2013

This week there are some good new releases from Quinten moore, Noel McKoy and Los Charly's orchestra. The Love vibes 2 compilation is here at last and there's a good best of Full Flava. The Coalitions is a strong unissued Philly album from 1980 and the Al Green classic album remasters and 180gm vinyl's are superb. This weeks album of the week from Guida De Palma with Jazzinho will bring a ray of sunshine into your lives. There are some really good new releases and many fantastic reissues this week. Rajdulari is a new name to me but she has made a very nice soul/jazz album that reminds me of early Dianne Reeves or Rachelle Ferrell. Carmichael and UK soul singers Charlene and Harleighblu also have good albums and finally the Soul Togetherness 2013 is in stock on Vinyl. This week we have two really good new soul albums from Snarky Puppy and Sandra St Victor. Its another good week for new releases with strong new soul albums from Foreign Exchange, Heston and Marc Staggers, Smooth Jazz from Jessy J and Lin Rountree and Jazz albums from Derrick Hodge and Allen Toussaint plus a European release for Jukka Eskola's Bossa Nova album. Recommended releases – 13th September 2103

The quantity of releases may be lower this week but there are some quality releases. Kentyah and Brian Jackson's tribute to Gil Scott Heron album will hopefully expose his genius to a younger audience but there is still plenty in it for long term fans , check Gregory Porter's version of 'Song of the Wind'.
