New arrivals – 4th March 2016

New releases

It’s a strong week for new releases , New Soul trio King taking pride of place with their excellent debut album ‘We are King’. The Three Degrees make a Philly tribute album, and Snarky Puppy keyboardist Bill Laurence makes his best album to date ‘Aftersun’.

New Blue eyed Southern Soul artist Anderson East and Esperanza Spalding also have interesting albums.
There are good compilations from Joey Negro – Remixed with love vol 2 and Volcov , Harmony of the soul groups and Things gonna get better are both excellent 60’s/70’s comps.

Reissues

Reissues from Teddy Pendergrass, Brenda Russell, Isley Brothers plus Michael Jackson ‘off the wall’ is issued with an interesting DVD ‘Journey from Motown to off the Wall’.
The JB’s classic ‘Doing it to Death’ is reissued on 150gm vinyl with a poster and there are 15 classic and rare albums on Limited Edition Japanese High Quality Vinyl issues including in demand albums from Gloria Scott, Odyssey, Donald Byrd and Coke Escovedo.
Soul Junction have another good 45 from Four Real inc b/w larry Wright.

Pre-order the new Louie Vega Cd starring XXVIII due in on monday a killer double CD featuring many guest artists, one of THE albums of the year.
