New releases and pre-orders 27th March 2020

There are some great releases this week, in fact pretty much something for everyone with the largest batch of new releases for a while. Lindsey Webster has established herself as one of the leading Jazzy/Soul singers and she doesn’t disappoint with yet another quality set ‘A woman like me’. Robin McKelle and Kandace Springs both have really nice vocal Jazz albums.
Shabaka and the Ancestors, James Taylor Quartet and Malclom Strachan have all made good new Jazz albums, and a new name to me Isaac Carree. The Matti Klein and Brecker Brothers sets are now in on vinyl as well as CD and the Soul Motivators have a good retro Soul/Funk album.
Good reissues from Roy Ayers Virgin Ubiquity sets now out on vinyl, Laura lee on Hot Wax plus an interesting Lovers rock compilation on Athens of the north ‘For the love of you’.
Mamas Gun ‘This is the Day’ gets a very limited edition Orange vinyl 45 release.

Pre-order for next week for two new 45’s on expansion, see all the pre-order titles here.

As you may know the shop is now closed for walk in business to conform with the Government Covid19 regulations but we are still operating mail order services, and will do as long as we are able to. Future release dates are likely to be changeable as product supply especially from USA and Europe become harder to source due to flight restrictions.
