It is an amazing week for releases. Moonchild return with anther strong album ‘Little Ghost’ which will appeal to their ever increasing legion of fans of their Jazzy Soul grooves. Miles Davis recorded Rubberband as his first album for Warner brothers in 85 but it has remained unreleased until now, and some of the tracks have been re-recorded with Robert Glasper etc and vocals from Lalah Hathaway, Ledisi and others to make a very contemporary album.Brand new heavies return to Acid jazz with a good album , the label also have the Laville album with a new twist on classic soul and the Teskey Brothers album is now in on CD as well as LP.
BBE J-Jazz compilation last year was a major success highlighting some rare Japanese Jazz tracks , Volume 2 continues the story in fine fashion.
There are many good Vinyl reissues on the Blue Note label including a few new albums in the Tone Poet Analogue mastered series, plus as classic Buena Vista club album and as couple of rare James Brown titles on CD.
There are more new releases due today but arriving on Monday , so expect another mailer early next week

We are saddened to learn of the passing of fellow Solar radio DJ Les Adams who died of a heart attack on Monday, he will be sadly missed.
