New Releases and Pre-Orders, Friday 11th November

Bluey and Gilles Peterson brit funk renaissance band Str4ta return with a second installment ‘Str4tasfear’ available on Cd, Lp and limited white vinyl. Robert Glasper Experiment classic first Black Radio album is repackaged as a deluxe edition 3LP or 2D set with extra tracks and remixes.
Smooth jazz saxophonist Kim Waters returns with his 25th album ‘That Special Touch’, and Bill Frisell reaches ‘Four’ on Blue Note. Alice Coltrane’s spiritual jazz masterpiece ‘Ptah The El Daoud’ is finally reissued on 180gm vinyl on Impulse !, and Charlie Hunter’s ‘Bing Bing Bing is the latest in the Blue Note Analogue Classic series. There are some good Cd reissues from James Brown, Jimmy Castor Bunch and George Duke and Billy Cobham and Dynamite Cuts have three great limited edition 45’s from Matata, The Moments and Carl Sherlock Holmes. We are also back in stock of Machine on both formats, The Meters Classic Rejuvenation and The Roots Lps.
The new 45’s on Soul Brother and Expansion have also been very well received. We still have regular dinked and limited edition full centre Dj Copies of the excellent in demand 45s from China Burton and Betty Everett on Soul Brother and classics from Pleasure and The Blackbyrds on Expansion, see the feature here.
The new reissues on Soul Brother from FBI LP and Johnny Hammond ‘Gamblers Life’ LP and CD sound great and have been flying out, as has the Webster Lewis Anthology CD compiled by Will Fox and Ralph Tee (pre-order delayed Lp due mid November), grab your copies now if you haven’t already. Webster Lewis anthology LP should be arriving in two weeks, but we’ve just restocked the CD.
