There are some great new releases and reissues this week on Cd. Lp and 7″ singles.
Will Downing returns with a great new 7 track Ep/Cd ‘Pieces’ (arriving on monday). Reel People also return after a 10 Year gap with ‘Love 2’ featuring many guest vocalists including Eric Roberson, Raheem DeVaughn and Chantae Cann. Bob Thiele’s son has recreated the Flying Dutchman label and the first album is Billy Valentine & the Universal Truth a great album covering classic tracks from the early 70’s by CurtisMayfield, Gil Scott Heron, Leon Thomas and more.
The Jack Moves also have a new Soul album and the Soul Motivators a retro soul/funk album.
Samara Joy won a grammy for her debut album beautiful vocal Jazz in a Sarah Vaughan style issued on LP for the first time on Gold vinyl. Gerardo FrIsina and Malcolm Strachan have new jazz albums and Brian Blade has a 2CD tribute to Bobby Hutcherson. Pharoah Sanders unreleased live at Fabrik 1980 is issued on both CD and LP. There are some good vinyl reissues Alex Rodriquez Venezuelan/NY latin-jazz funk album ‘Busqueda’ and T Hondo covers of soul tracks on Jazz Room will appeal to the jazz dancers, Kool and the Gang Live At P.J.s is a classic funk and jazz album and Norman Whitfield’s/Temptations ‘Masterpiece’ is just that.There are also good ressie Lps from Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Roberta Flack and more.
There are some good 45 reissues from Future Flight, Charles Earland, Chris Clark/Temptations and Joe Bataan plus a 12″ from the Funkmasters.
We are back in stock of Carmichael Musiclover (final copies), Olli Ahvenlahti jazz dance classic ‘The Poet’ and Chip Wickham’s Cloud 10.
Pre-order the next batch of 45’s from Soul Brother and Expansion including Harold McNair British Jazz dancer anthem ‘The Hipster’ , Vaneese And Carolyn rare groove ‘The Goodbye Song’ and a great double sider from Salena Jones, Most of these are due in next week. View HERE

There have been some quite large price increases from many labels including Music On Vinyl, Ace and universal group of labels. We still have a large selection of titles available at the old prices whilst stocks last , but restocks will be between £3 to £10 (a few are more than that) more expensive when we reorder, so take your chance to buy these great albums at the old prices whilst they last. The new reissues on Soul Brother from FBI LP and Johnny Hammond ‘Gamblers Life’ LP and CDsound great and have been flying out. as has the Webster Lewis Anthology CD and LP compiled by Will Fox and Ralph Tee LP grab your copies now if you haven’t already purchased
The new 45’s on Soul Brother and Expansion have also been very well received. We still have regular dinked and limited edition full centre Dj Copies of the excellent in demand 45s from China Burton and Betty Everett on Soul Brother and classics from Pleasure and The Blackbyrds on Expansion, see the feature here.
