Firstly, please accept our apologies for any difficulties or delays you have experienced with us this week. Due to two seperate faults we suffered a complete loss of Internet connectivity which also knocked out our phones until late yesterday. This has prevented us from processing orders, emails etc but all is now fixed and all Uk orders for the week will be shipped by today and overseas orders and queries replied to by monday.
There are some great reissues and new albums this week, mainly on the jazz side. There are two reissues of superb Spiritual and Jazz dance albums from Carter Jefferson and Tom Grant and we have some sealed original copies of David Janeway’s in demand ‘Entry Point’ LP. The latest in the Jazz Is Dead series , 15 features Garrett Saracho available on Lp or CD, and there is a 12″ EP from Yusef Dayes.
There are two albums from Henry Stone’s TK records vaults. Firstly a reissue of Betty’s brother Milton Wright ‘Friends and Buddies’ Lp featuring the rare groove anthem ‘Keep it Up’ and popular ‘Silence You Keep’. Secondly a great 2Lp comp ‘Miami Funk’ featuring 25 funk and funky soul gems from his group of labels. We are back in stock of a few gems on LP.
The Soul Brother January CD sale is now on until 1st March with 110 CDs reduced in price whilst stocks last. There are some great Soul Funk and Jazz albums and compilations on the Soul Brother, Expansion and Outta Sight labels reduced to £9.99. The new 45’s on Soul Brother and Expansion have also been very well received.
