Brooklyn Funk Essentials have a new album ‘Black Butterfly’ and At Jazz a fabulous 3lp set ‘Starbase 17’ which features many good vocalists including Omar. Soul Jazz reissue their great ‘Best bof Black Jazz Records’ compilation, an essential collection. Dansers Inferno jazz-dance classic ‘Sombre Guitar’ gets a welcome 45 release and Stanley Turrentine soul-jazz ‘Easy Walker’ is the latest in the Blue Note classics series. Etta James soul/blues classic ‘Tell Mama’ gets an analogue reissue on Craft, plus we finally have received the delayed and much asked for RSD LP from Yusef Lateef We still have many of the RSD exclusive releases which you can view by music genre here.
