New Releases Soul Junction records have turned up trumps again with a superb unissued album from Elbowed Out featuring recordings made in the late 70's to late 80's. Undisputed Truth's two Whitfield albums make a welcome return on a 2 on 1 CD. OddJob give us some Scandinavian Jazz, and Gregory Porter's Liquid Spirit has a another repackage with extra tracks. New releases Moonchild have made a really good album, that fully deserves to be our album of the week. If you enjoyed the recent Mad Satta and Haitus Kaiyote albums, check out the band who influenced them. Brooklyn Funk Essentials return after 20 years with a strong album. New Releases Angie Stone returns with a strong album 'Dream' , the reliable Pieces of a dream celebrate 29 years together with  'All in', Floating Points have made a very interesting Ambient Jazz record 'Eleana' and rising star Leron Thomas has his debut album. New releases Matthew Halsall has made an amazing new Jazz album 'Into Forever' out on Cd earlier in the month and now in on Vinyl, superb and essential listening. Fellow Manchester Jazzman Nat Birchall also makes one of his best albums 'Invocations' just arrived on CD and LP. The return of St Germain St Germain return 15 years after their incredibly popular 'Tourist' album with an African influenced House album 'St Germain', quite strange in places but captivating, check it out. The rest of the new releases Kyoto Jazz Sextet have an amazingly good Japanese jazz album , mainly Blue note covers but really good.
