There are some good new releases this week. The Blue Note Re:Imagined II is now on Cd , LP and Coloured vinyl. Gloria Scott has made a long awaited second album , nearly 50 years on, in the Uk with a full band including Snowboy. Camilla George has made a great New London Jazz meets Afrobeat album ‘Ibio Ibio’ . The Jack Moves is a strong retro Soul album that came out a few years ago on CD and is now released on vinyl. Snarky Puppy have a new 2CD set, and the very talented Connie Han has a new album. There are two strong Jazz reissues on Jazz Room from Johnny Walker and Carlos Franzetti , Paul Murphy has had to postpone his instore to 8th October.
There are good comps Under the Influence vol 10, With Love volume 1 from Misch and Disco Reggae Rockers, plus reissues from Azymuth, Patrice Rushen and Shakatak plus a couple of 45’s so something for everyone this week.
The album launch of Johnny Walker Advent will be postponed til saturday the 8th October due to illness. Johnny will be joining us via video link from Philadelphia at 14:00 GMT, and Paul Murphy will be down with quantities of the album for sale alongside Carlos Franzetti Grafitti which has just been released: Both are on sale currently and we are one of the first shops in the UK to stock these titles.
