Kennedy Administration have a very good Debut album on CD and LP , it’s great to hear that Band sound again with real instruments, a strong varied album with energy.

Ruby Rushton impressed with Trudi’s songbook earlier in the year, now their lesser known debut ‘Two for Joy’ gets a wider release and what a great Jazz album it is, encompassing the South East London sound. If you like Yussef Kamaal ‘Black Focus’ check this out.

Christian McBride is a fantastic and under appreciated artist, his big band album ‘Bringing it on’ is a strong album out on CD and LP.

Afro beat legends Antibalas have a new album ‘Where the gods are in peace’ and there are good albums from Matt Bianco, D/Troit, Mike Stern and John Beasley.

There are also good reissues from Woody Shaw,  Johnny Clarke and the Joey Negro/Sean P best of Disco Spectrum plus a Russ Winstanley heart of Northern Soul LP ,and some good 45’s from Ace including a killer unreleased Shirley Brown cut.
