It is another massive week for new releases and reissues this week, with some great Soul and Jazz titles on CD LP and 45’s, something for everybody here.
Dego has an excellent new Double LP on 2000 Black which whilst broken Beat has as very heavy boogie influence, this should appeal to a broader audience.
Terri Green Project, One Way and Victor Haynes new soul albums have been getting a lot of radio play on Solar etc and are finally released on limited edition CD’s. Butch and Rhonda Coleman have made a very classy Jazzy Soul album which is arriving tomorrow.
Nat Birchall pays tribute to Yusef Lateef and has made another very special Spiritual jazz album. There are also new albums from Nerija, Dayme Arocena, New Mastersounds, and a nice New Brazilian album from Leonardo Marques.
We Want sounds have a very strong compilation of Bob Shand’s label ‘This is Mainstream’ a good mix of Soul, Jazz and Funk, plus another Kent comp of Los Angeles Soul and the latest edition of Masterpiece from PTG. Patterson Twins very rare Soul album from 1978 gets a welcome reissue on both formats and there is a nice Japanese spiritual jazz album from Makoto Terashita ft Harold Land, Dave Valentin and a couple from Brazilian Ana Mazzotti.
More goodness from the Blue note vaults with 3 good vinyl reissues plus good funk from Exit 9 and Parliament.
There are some excellent with 4 from Kent including the wonderful Prince Phillip Mitchell ‘I’ll see you in Hell’ and a strong batch from Outta Sight.

Put Saturday 12th October in your diary which is National Album Day , where we celebrate classic and new albums. We will be joined on the day by the lovely Bryony Jarman-Pinto whose album ‘Cage and Avairy’ we will be playing back in store and she will be signing copies and talking to customers and you have a great photo opportunities.
